Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess a Bachelorโs Degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline from a recognized University, Institution, or Board.
- Essential Requirement:
- Applicants must have basic computer knowledge and possess a valid computer certification.
- Other Conditions:
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen and a domicile of the State of Odisha.
- Applicants must be able to read, write, and speak Odia. They should have studied Odia as a language subject in the H.S.C. examination or an equivalent exam, or must have passed a test in the Odia language equivalent to the Middle School standard.
- Candidates who have obtained their academic qualifications from Universities/Institutions/Boards outside Odisha must provide proof of equivalence from a recognized University, Institution, Council, or Board within the State of Odisha, along with proof that their institution is affiliated with a recognized authority.

Age Limits

- PwD belonging to SEBC/SC/ST categories:ย Cumulative age relaxation of 15 years
- A candidate coming under more than one category shall be eligible for only one benefit of relaxation, which shall be considered most beneficial to him/her.

| The selection will be based on the candidateโs performance in a Written Test and a Computer Skill Test, carrying a total of 250 marks. Written Test: Total Marks: 200 Number of Questions: 100 (Multiple Choice Questions) Mode: OMR-based (carbonless answer sheets) Duration: 2 Hours Subject-wise Marks Distribution: General English (up to Graduation Level): 60 Marks General Knowledge & Current Affairs: 40 Marks General Mathematics (up to HSC Standard): 40 Marks Reasoning & Mental Ability: 60 Marks Each correct answer will carry 2 marks, while 0.50 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response. Computer Skill Test: Total Marks: 50 Duration: 1 Hour Minimum qualifying marks: 20 marks for all categories. Minimum Qualifying Marks in Written Examination: Unreserved (UR) candidates: 40% SC/ST/SEBC & PwD candidates: 30% Based on performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted in a ratio of twice the number of vacancies (category-wise and sub-category-wise for PwD) for the Computer Skill Test. Candidates who qualify in both the Written Test and Computer Skill Test will be called for Document Verification at the SSB office. Final Selection: The final merit list will be prepared by combining the marks obtained in the Written Test and Computer Skill Test, provided the candidate successfully completes the document verification process. Tie-Breaking Criteria: If two or more candidates secure the same marks in the Written Test during shortlisting, preference will be given based on: Higher aggregate percentage in the Bachelorโs Degree (up to two decimal points) Earlier date of birth (older candidate preferred). The final merit list will be prepared category-wise and sub-category-wise according to the advertised vacancies. SSB will forward the final merit list to the Higher Education Department (HED) for counselling related to university-wise Junior Assistants in Government Colleges, NCC, and district-wise Junior Clerks in Non-Government Aided Colleges. Examination Centres: The Written Test will be conducted at five zones: Balasore, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Jeypore, and Sambalpur, depending on the number of candidates in each zone.
