- Post Graduate degree in Physical Sciences (Physics/ Applied Physics/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Meteorology/ Oceanography/ Climate Science/ Geophysics with Meteorology/ Environmental Sciences/ Electronics or related subjects)
- OR Chemical Sciences (Chemistry/ Physical Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry or related subjects)
- OR Mathematical Sciences (Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ statistics or related subjects)
- OR M. Tech. in Atmospheric/ Oceanic Sciences or related subjects
- OR Master’s degree from any branch of Engineering
- AND Qualified in one of the following national level examinations: CSIR-UGC NET / UGC NET / ICAR NET (Lecturership / Assistant Professorship) / GATE / JEST
- AND At least 55% aggregate marks for General and OBC Category (50% for SC, ST and PwBD) in the Master’s degree
- AND Studied Physics AND Mathematics subjects at bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated skills in computer programming, FORTRAN, C, PYTHON and working experience in Linux, UNIX, Windows platforms.
