The GATE COAP 2026 registration is now open on the official Common Offer Acceptance Portal at coap2026.iitr.ac.in. Eligible candidates who have qualified in GATE 2024, GATE 2025, or GATE 2026 must register online to view and accept M.Tech admission offers from the IITs for the 2026–27 session.

The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) is a centralized online platform that allows GATE-qualified candidates to check, compare, and accept or reject M.Tech, M.Plan, and M.Des offers from participating IITs. COAP itself does not grant admission; it serves as a decision-making portal linking your GATE scores to the admission offers issued by the IITs.

GATE Score Requirements:

• Candidates must have a valid GATE score from any of the following years: 2024, 2025, or 2026.
• If you hold multiple valid GATE scores (e.g., GATE 2025 and GATE 2026), use the scorecard with the higher score or better rank during COAP registration.

Other Key Conditions:

• COAP does not replace individual IIT applications. Candidates must still submit separate program-specific forms on each IIT’s admission portal.
• COAP is primarily for Indian citizens. Foreign nationals usually apply directly to IITs without using COAP.

• Open your browser and go to the official COAP 2026 website: coap2026.iitr.ac.in/coap2026. Click on “Register” / “New User Registration”
• On the homepage, select the registration option for new users. Enter GATE Details
• Provide your GATE Registration/Enrollment ID, GATE paper code, year of the exam, and GATE score as mentioned on your scorecard. Fill Personal Information
• Enter your full name, date of birth, category, email ID, and mobile number exactly as per your GATE records to avoid any discrepancies. Create Login Credentials
