Eligibility Criteria
- Assistant Professor (Broad Specialties – Clinical & Non-Clinical): PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant specialty from an institution recognized by MCI/NMC.
- Assistant Professor (Super Specialties): PG Degree (DNB/DrNB/DM/MCh) in the relevant super specialty from an institution recognized by MCI/NMC.
- Lateral Entry Specific Eligibility:
- Only Assistant Professors in broad specialties working under the Directorate of Medical Education, or Civil Assistant Surgeons under the Directorate of Public Health & Family Welfare or Directorate of Secondary Health (APVVP) are eligible.
- Candidates must be an approved probationer or have completed the probation period in the cadre of CAS/Assistant Professor.
- Candidates should have no pending disciplinary charges and no unauthorized absence.
- Candidates already serving as Assistant Professors in the same specialty under the Directorate of Medical Education are not eligible.

- NOC from HoD in the prescribed format (Annexure-IV) must be submitted.

| Selection Process The recruitment process will consist of a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT). A Translation Test will be conducted only for the Junior Translator (Hindi) post. This test is qualifying in nature, and candidates must secure at least 60% marks to pass. Candidates who qualify will be called for Document Verification (DV), followed by a Medical Examination as per the prescribed medical standards. CBT Details The CBT will be of 90 minutes duration and will include 100 questions. Candidates using a scribe will be given 120 minutes to complete the test. Negative marking will apply, with 1/3 mark deducted for each incorrect answer. Minimum qualifying marks in CBT are: UR/EWS: 40% OBC-NCL: 30% SC: 30% ST: 25% Shortlisting Criteria Shortlisting for Document Verification will be based on merit in the CBT. For the Junior Translator (Hindi) post, candidates equal to 10 times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Translation Test based on CBT performance. |
