| Stage I: Written Examination Objective-type test of 200 marks with a duration of 2 hours. Subjects included: General Awareness – 50 marks General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability – 50 marks Arithmetical & Numerical Ability – 50 marks English Language & Comprehension – 50 marks Candidates must secure at least 33% aggregate marks to qualify. There is no negative marking in the examination. Stage II: PST, PET and Trade Test (where applicable) Candidates who qualify the written exam will be shortlisted for this stage in a 1:3 ratio, based on the cut-off marks. Constable Band and Bugler candidates must also pass a Trade Test related to playing the band or bugle. Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the PET and Trade Test, but they must qualify the PST. Stage III: Medical Fitness Test For Post Code 11/26 (Special Tiger Guard) Stage I: Written Examination (same pattern as above). Stage II: Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) as per the prescribed standards. The PST, PET, Trade Test, and Medical Fitness Test are qualifying in nature. The final merit list will be prepared based on the written examination marks and the candidates’ post preferences. |
