Eligibility Criteria
  • Ophthalmic Assistant: Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. They should possess a two-year Diploma in Paramedical Ophthalmic Assistant Course or a two-year Diploma in Optometry and Ophthalmic Technique recognized by the Government of West Bengal.
  • Ophthalmic Assistant (Preferential): Preference will be given to candidates who have completed one year of training after obtaining a Diploma in Optometry recognized by the Government of West Bengal, in any Government Hospital or a Clinical Establishment licensed under the West Bengal Clinical Establishments Act, 1950 and its subsequent rules. Candidates trained at RIO or other Government Hospitals with Government stipends will be given priority.
  • Dental Surgeon: Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from an institution recognized by the Dental Council of India and have valid registration with the West Bengal Dental Council. A minimum of two years of work experience in a Government or Private Hospital, or in recognized institutions such as Nursing Homes, Multispecialty Clinics, or Corporate Polyclinics (including internship/house staffship, if applicable) is required.
  • Dental Assistant: Candidates should have passed Matriculation from a recognized board. At least one year of experience in a Dental College or Dental Clinic is essential, while two years or more of experience is considered desirable.
  • Staff Nurse – NUHM: Applicants must have completed a GNM course from an institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council or the West Bengal Nursing Council, or hold a B.Sc. Nursing degree. Registration with the West Bengal Nursing Council is mandatory, along with proficiency in the local language.
  • Medical Officer – NUHM: Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from an MCI-recognized institution along with completion of a one-year compulsory internship.   • Psychiatric Social Worker: Applicants should hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from a recognized institution along with an M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work of two years’ duration. A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in a recognized institution is required.
  • Laboratory Technician: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and possess a two-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or Diploma in Laboratory Technology (DLT), or a BMLT degree from an institute recognized by the Government of West Bengal. Experience in operating Cell Counter and HPLC machines is desirable.
  • Block Data Manager: Applicants should be graduates from a recognized university and have completed at least a one-year Diploma in Computer Applications from a Government-registered institution. They must have working knowledge of computers, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Internet applications. A minimum of three years’ experience in the Government sector or five years’ experience in the Private sector in data recording and data analysis is required.

E-Governance section, click on “Online Recruitment. This will open the Online Recruitment portal. From there, select the relevant post and begin filling out the application form. The first step is “Continue Registration,” followed by completing the form through “Continue After Registration.”
Only online applications will be accepted. Applicants are advised to fill in the application form with utmost care, as incorrect or incomplete forms will be rejected.

Candidates must apply only once for one post through the online mode. Multiple or duplicate applications for the same post will not be accepted. Experience certificates must clearly mention the duration of actual work performed and the designation of the issuing authority. Joining reports alone will not be accepted as proof of experience. Experience certificates may be cross-verified, and any discrepancy found will result in exclusion of the claimed experience from final scoring.
Before final selection, shortlisted candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC-A, and OBC-B categories must produce original caste certificates issued by the competent authority.
Candidates must retain the online registration number generated during application for future reference, as no information regarding registration numbers will be provided later.
After submitting the online application, applicants should take a printout of the completed form. Shortlisted candidates must submit the printed application along with all testimonials during document verification. Applicants should regularly visit the website for updates related to the recruitment process.
Applications without proper upload of photograph and signature will be rejected. Possession of minimum essential qualifications does not automatically guarantee selection.
