Eligibility Criteria
- A Master’s degree in Hindi or English from a recognized university, with English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR
- A Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi or English as the medium of instruction and English or Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level; OR
- A Master’s degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with both Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects, or one as the medium of instruction and the other as a compulsory/elective subject at the degree level.
- Additionally, candidates must have:
- A recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa, OR
- Two years of experience in translation work (Hindi to English and English

| Mode Of Selection |
| Selection will be done through an open competitive written examination. The exam will consist of two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-I will be an objective type (OMR-based or computer-based multiple-choice test). Paper-II will be a descriptive type examination. Only candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I (as decided by the Selection Committee) will have their Paper-II evaluated. The final merit list will be prepared based only on the marks obtained in Paper-II. Skill / Physical / Personality Test (If Applicable) Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be called for a Skill/Physical Test and Personality Assessment Test, which will be qualifying in nature. Only candidates who qualify these tests will be eligible to appear in the competitive written examination. The final merit list will be based on performance in the written exam. Trade Test (If Applicable) Eligible candidates may also be invited for a Trade Test, which will be qualifying in nature. Candidates who qualify the Trade Test will be called for the Written Test. The final merit list will be prepared based on written examination marks. |
