Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:ย Minimum 10th standard pass
- Eligible Persons:
- Teachers (including retired teachers)
- MSW students and teachers
- Anganwadi workers
- Students / Law students (until they are enrolled as advocates)
- Members of non-political service-oriented, non-governmental voluntary organizations and clubs
- Members of local women’s groups, friendship groups, and other self-help groups including neglected/vulnerable groups
- Well-behaved, educated prisoners serving long-term sentences in prisons
- Any other person working in any field
- Residence Requirement:ย Applicant must be a resident of the specific taluka for which they are applying
- Application Limit:ย Apply for only one area. Applications for more than one area will be rejected
- Previous Experience:ย If previously worked as Legal Volunteer, brief report of work done (maximum two pages) must be attached

| General Information |
| Appointment as a Legal Volunteer is not considered a job; candidates must note this clearly. Applications are invited under the revised “Legal Volunteer/Adhikar Mitra” scheme as prescribed by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), Delhi. The scheme is implemented under the guidance of the Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority, Mumbai. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format provided with the official notification. Submit the application in a sealed envelope either by hand delivery or registered post by 09th March 2026, 05:00 PM. Late applications will not be considered under any circumstances. Educational qualification documents must be attached with the application. Apply for only one area/taluka. Submitting multiple applications will result in rejection of all applications. If you have previously worked as a Legal Volunteer, attach a brief work report (maximum two pages). Selected members will receive an honorarium as per the NALSA Legal Volunteer Scheme (Revised) whenever work is assigned. The application must include: recent photograph, Aadhaar card number, mobile number, email ID, date of birth, current age, current occupation, and educational qualifications with marks percentage.
