Eligibility Criteria
- Medical Specialist: MD/MS/DNB in the relevant specialty with a minimum of 3 years’ post-PG experience in the concerned field.
- Radiologist: Postgraduate degree in the relevant specialty as per CHS Regulation 1996 (Schedule VI, Section A or B), or 5 years’ experience after PG Diploma; DMC registration is mandatory.
- Gynaecologist: MD/MS/DNB in the relevant specialty with at least 3 years’ experience after post-graduation.
- Medical Officer: MBBS with a minimum of 3 years’ experience after internship; additional qualification in Medicine/Surgery will be preferred.
- Lab Assistant: Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or Class-I Lab Technician Course (Armed Forces) with at least 5 years’ experience in a medical laboratory.
- Pharmacist: B.Pharmacy or 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) with Diploma in Pharmacy, along with minimum 3 years’ experience as a pharmacist.
- Radiographer: Diploma/Class-I Radiographer Course (Armed Forces) with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
- Physiotherapist: Diploma/Class-I Physiotherapy Course (Armed Forces) with at least 5 years’ experience as a physiotherapist.
- Dental Assistant / Technician / Hygienist: Diploma in Dental Hygienist Course or Class-I DH/DORA Course (Armed Forces) with minimum 3 years’ experience in a recognized dental lab, clinic, or hospital.
- Officer-in-Charge: Post reserved for retired Defence Officers with at least 5 years’ experience in healthcare institutions or managerial roles.
- Clerk & DEO / Clerk / DEO: Graduate or Class-I Clerical Trade (Armed Forces) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- IT Network Technician: Diploma/Certificate/equivalent qualification in IT Networking or Computer Applications with minimum 2 years’ experience.

| Shortlisted candidates will be informed about the interview via SMS and/or email, and the list will also be displayed on the Notice Board. An objective-type written examination on the relevant subject and practical tests, wherever applicable, will be conducted prior to the interview. Only candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria, have submitted complete applications, and are shortlisted by the Board of Officers will be invited for the interview. Candidates must produce all original documents at the time of the interview. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. Engagement of candidates will be entirely at the discretion of the appointing authority, and the terms and conditions of employment may be modified without any compensation in case of unforeseen circumstances. |
| General Information |
| The contract period will be 12 months for Ex-Servicemen and 11 months for other candidates, extendable by one more year or up to the maximum age limit, subject to satisfactory performance and other applicable conditions. Candidates must submit a separate application for each post in the prescribed format available on www.echs.gov.in, duly affixed with a passport-size photograph, along with all required supporting documents. The completed application should reach Station Headquarters ECHS, Fort Saint George, Chennai – 600009 on or before the last date, clearly mentioning “Application for the post of ______” on the top of the envelope. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Only one application per post is required, which will be considered for all Polyclinics. Candidates who were previously employed under ECHS and whose services were terminated, resigned, or who are blacklisted should not apply, as their applications will not be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with computer qualifications. Any updates or amendments to this notification will be published only on the ECHS website. Candidates who have worked in any Empanelled Hospital must have a minimum gap of one year between leaving that appointment and joining any ECHS establishment. Any candidate found using unfair means or creating disturbances during the interview will be dealt with strictly as per the Code of Criminal Procedure Act, 1973. |

Step 1: Application Fee
- Download the application form from www.echs.gov.in or use the format attached with the notification, and affix a passport-size photograph.
- Submit a separate application for each post, enclosing self-attested photocopies of all required supporting documents as specified in the notice.
- Send the application in duplicate in a sealed envelope, clearly superscribed “Application for the post of ______”, to OIC, ECHS Cell, Station Headquarters, Fort Saint George, Chennai – 600009.
