Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant specialty from a recognized institution, as per the norms specified in the notification. All applicants should be below 44 years of age for all categories as on the date of the interview. Candidates currently serving a bond under any Government institution are not eligible to apply. Similarly, those who have already completed three years of service as a Senior Resident in any Government institution are also not eligible.
Applicants must have valid registration with the Karnataka State Medical Council (KMC) or the National Medical Commission (NMC) for both MBBS and postgraduate qualifications. Candidates applying under OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PWD categories must produce valid certificates issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format, applicable for appointments in Central Government institutions, before the date of the interview.
Candidates seeking OBC reservation or age relaxation must submit an updated OBC certificate as per Annexure-A of Government of India guidelines; failing which, they will be considered under the General category. Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWD) will be provided in accordance with the prevailing Government of India rules.
Fee Structure
There is no application fee for SC/ST and Female candidates. Candidates belonging to all other categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹300/-. The fee must be paid only through a Demand Draft drawn on any scheduled bank, in favour of “ESI Corporation”, payable at Kalaburagi. The Demand Draft should be issued after the date of publication of this advertisement.
Once paid, the application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. Fees submitted through any mode other than Demand Draft will not be accepted.
Age Limits
All candidates should be below 44 years of age as on the date of the interview. Reservation and age relaxation will be provided in accordance with Government of India rules for OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PWD categories, subject to the submission of valid supporting certificates.

| Mode Of Selection |
| Selection will be made based on the candidate’s performance in a personal interview conducted by a duly constituted selection board. Applications submitted on the day of the walk-in interview, along with the prescribed fee, will be scrutinized, and only eligible candidates will be permitted to appear for the interview. In case of a large number of applicants, the selection committee may adopt shortlisting criteria, which may include a screening test. Candidates must secure at least 50% of the total marks to be considered eligible for selection. Those who are provisionally selected will be required to report immediately for medical examination and verification of original documents upon receiving the offer of appointment via e-mail. The final selection will be subject to satisfactory verification of original certificates. A waiting list will also be prepared, which will remain valid for two months from the date of publication of the results, subject to approval by the competent authority. | Mere submission of an application does not entitle a candidate to be considered for the interview unless they report in person on the specified date and time with all the required documents. Applications must be submitted only in the prescribed format; incomplete applications or those not in the specified format will be rejected outright. Candidates are advised to ensure their eligibility and report strictly as scheduled, as latecomers will not be permitted to attend the interview. Any incorrect declaration or submission of false information will result in cancellation of candidature at any stage, along with possible legal action. The interview opportunity is purely provisional, and appointment is subject to thorough scrutiny of eligibility conditions and verification of original certificates. Candidates currently employed must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer on the day of the walk-in interview. Interviews will be held at the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College, Kalaburagi; however, ESIC reserves the right to change the interview venue or dates, if required. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or for joining. Selected candidates will not be entitled to PF, pension, gratuity, medical allowances, seniority, promotion, or additional leave. Leave entitlement will be governed strictly by the ESIC Residency Scheme, allowing 2½ working days of leave per month, with no provision for advance leave. |

Step 1: Application Fee
- Candidates can walk in and register for the interview on 15/01/2026 between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. No candidate will be allowed to register after 10:30 AM.
