The Assamese language section is qualifying in nature. Candidates must secure at least 40% marks, i.e. 8 out of 20, in this segment to be eligible for the next stage. Marks obtained in the Assamese language section will not be counted while preparing the merit list.
Negative marking will be applicable in the written examination. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks (one-fourth of the marks allotted to that question) will be deducted.
Stage-II: Interview / Viva-Voce (20 Marks)
Candidates shortlisted in the ratio of 1:3 (three times the number of vacancies), based on merit in the written examination, will be called for the Interview/Viva-Voce along with document verification. To qualify in this stage, a candidate must secure a minimum of 60% marks, i.e. 12 out of 20.
Final Selection
The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the written examination (Stage-I) and Interview/Viva-Voce (Stage-II). In case two or more candidates secure the same total marks, preference will be given to the candidate with higher marks in the written examination. If the written examination marks are also equal, the older candidate will be given preference.
