Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the IDBI Bank Specialist Officer Recruitment 2026–27 must ensure they meet all eligibility requirements, including age limit, educational qualifications, and post-qualification work experience as of the cut-off date, 1 March 2026.
IDBI SO Educational Qualification & Experience 2026–27
Audit – Information System (IS) (Grade C):
Candidates must have a B.Tech/BE in IT, Electronics & Communications, Software Engineering, Electronics & Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or Digital Banking; or BCA/B.Sc (IT/Computer Science); or a graduate degree in any discipline with a valid CISA certification; or M.Sc (IT/Computer Science)/MCA/M.Tech/M.E in relevant fields from a recognized university. A minimum of 7 years of officer-level experience in BFSI/IT/Information Security consultancy is required, including at least 4 years in IS Audit, Cyber Security Audit, or Information Security consultancy.
Risk Management – Information Security (Grade C & B):
Applicants should hold a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, ICT, Electronics & Communications, Electrical, or related fields; or BCA/B.Sc (IT/Computer Science); or MCA/M.Sc (IT/Computer Science) from a recognized university.
- Grade C: Minimum 7 years of experience, including 4 years in Information Security or Cyber Security.
- Grade B: Minimum 4 years of experience, including 2 years in Information Security or Cyber Security.
Experience must be in IT/BFSI/FinTech or corporate organizations in relevant domains.
IT & MIS (Grade D/C/B):
Candidates should be graduates in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electronics & Communications, Telecommunications, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Data Science, Data Engineering, or similar disciplines, or possess an MCA/equivalent qualification from a recognized university. Preference will be given to those with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD) and certifications such as OCP, Data Analytics, SAS, Python, Project Management, Digital Banking, IT Security, or Networking.
- Grade D: Minimum 10 years of experience, with 7 years in the relevant area at the middle management level.
- Grade C: Minimum 7 years of officer-level experience, including 4 years in the relevant field.
- Grade B: Minimum 4 years of officer-level experience, including 2 years in the relevant field.
Experience should be in BFSI, FinTech, or large IT service organizations.
Security Officer – Junior Assistant Manager (Grade O):
Candidates must have passed 12th standard or hold a Diploma (or equivalent) from a recognized institution, with basic computer knowledge preferred. Additionally, they should have completed at least 15 years of regular service as a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force, with an exemplary service record at the time of retirement.
Note:
Only full-time experience as a permanent employee will be considered. Experience gained through training, internships, apprenticeships, teaching roles, trainee positions, retainerships, or staffing agencies will not be counted.
