| Stage I – Written Examination (Objective Type MCQ): All eligible candidates will take a 2-hour written exam worth 200 marks, covering General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, and English Language & Comprehension. Candidates must secure a minimum of 33% aggregate marks to qualify for the next stage. Stage II – Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Shortlisted candidates will undergo height and chest measurements, followed by PET events including 100 m and 1500 m races, high jump, and long jump. Only those who meet the prescribed physical standards and timing requirements will move forward. Stage III – Trade Test / Medical Fitness (as applicable): For Constable Band and Constable Bugler posts, a trade test in playing the band or bugle will be conducted. All candidates must also pass the medical fitness test, including eyesight standards and verification of absence of color blindness. Final Merit List: The final IRB GD Constable merit list 2026 will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written examination, subject to qualifying the PST, PET, trade test, and medical examination, while also considering reservation rules for APST, UR, and Ex-Servicemen categories.
