| The selection of candidates will be conducted as per the rules and guidelines specified by the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC). | General Information |
| Applicants should update their One Time Registration (OTR) before filling out the online application form. The application form, along with detailed instructions, will be available on the Commission’s website from 05 January 2026. Candidates are advised to carefully read all instructions and eligibility conditions prescribed for the post before submitting the online application. The last date for submission of the online application, complete in all respects—including uploading of mandatory documents and payment of the application fee through online mode only—is 04 February 2026. This date will also serve as the cut-off date for determining eligibility with respect to educational/professional qualifications and reservation claims, irrespective of any extension in the last date of application. The minimum and maximum age limits will be calculated with reference to 01 January 2025. Applicants will be allowed to edit certain fields in their online application form from 05 February 2026 to 07 February 2026, as per instructions to be notified separately on the website. All mandatory documents must be uploaded along with the online application. Candidates seeking consideration under any reserved category must possess a valid category certificate as on the cut-off date and upload the same in the prescribed format. No opportunity will be provided to upload documents after the cut-off date, and failure to do so may result in rejection of the application. Submission of hard copies of the application form or documents is not required at the time of online application. However, candidates must produce a downloaded copy of the online application form along with original certificates at the time of document verification. Candidates are strongly advised to submit their applications well before the closing date to avoid technical issues such as website congestion, payment failures, or login problems during the last days. Applications submitted with invalid, false, or fraudulent information, or without successful fee payment, will be treated as incomplete and rejected without notice. The candidature of applicants claiming reservation will remain provisional until the authenticity of the category certificate is verified by the Appointing Authority. Any claim of reservation based on false or forged certificates will lead to debarment from JKPSC examinations, in addition to other legal or disciplinary actions as deemed appropriate. Submission of multiple applications using different user IDs, names, or incorrect fee details may lead to rejection. In such cases, only the application with the highest Registration ID (RID) will be considered, and the fee paid against one RID will not be adjusted against another. Strict disciplinary action, including cancellation of candidature and debarment from future JKPSC examinations, may be taken. Candidates must not engage in any unfair practices such as impersonation, submission of fabricated documents, providing false information, use of unfair means during examinations, or misbehavior. Any such act may result in disqualification, permanent or temporary debarment from examinations or employment under the Union Territory Government, and may also attract criminal prosecution or departmental action, as applicable. |
How to Apply
Step 1: Application Fee
- a) Candidates must apply online only through the official JKPSC website: http://www.jkpsc.nic.in. Applications submitted by any other means or mode will not be accepted.
- b) Visit the JKPSC website and click on “One Time Registration (OTR)”, or use the Login option if a profile has already been created.
- c) After logging in, complete all mandatory fields in the OTR, including personal details, contact information, educational qualifications, and service details.
- d) Upload a recent passport-size color photograph and signature. The photograph should be date-stamped and taken on or after 01.01.2025.
- e) The size of the photograph and signature must be 10kB to 20kB in .jpeg or .jpg format only.
- f) After submitting all OTR details, check the eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement before applying for the desired post.
- g) Click on “Show Examination” to view available posts for the month of the advertisement. Links for relevant posts will appear on the screen.
- h) Click the “APPLY” button next to the post you are eligible for.
- i) An instruction window will appear—read it carefully before proceeding, then click the “APPLY” button at the bottom of the page.
- j) The system will display all details already provided in the OTR. Complete the remaining fields in the application form and accept the declaration.
