Eligibility Criteria
  • Educational Qualification (Post Graduate)
    Candidates must have a Post Graduate degree (M.Sc.) with at least Second Division in any of the following subjects:
    Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Forensic Biotechnology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioscience, Life Science, or Forensic Science.

    Educational Qualification (Graduate Level โ€“ Both Required)
    Candidates must fulfill both of the following conditions:
    (a) Degree in any one of the following subjects:
    Botany, Zoology, Bioscience, Life Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Forensic Biology

Employment Registration Rules

  • Candidates from other states are not required to register in the Employment Exchange as per the High Court order dated 08.03.2022 (W.P. No. 5096/2022).
  • MP domicile candidates do not need a live Employment Exchange registration while applying. However, they must submit it before the last date of document verification (before the interview).
  • MP domicile candidates who are already working:
    • Government employees must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC)
    • Non-Government employees must submit a Service Certificate
    • Such candidates are exempt from Employment Exchange registration

The application fee can be paid online through Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. Candidates also have the option to pay the fee in cash at authorized M.P. Online kiosks.

An additional late fee of โ‚น3,000 will be charged for applications submitted between 20.05.2026 and 27.05.2026. For applications submitted from 28.05.2026 to 28.10.2026, a higher late fee of โ‚น25,000 will apply.

Candidates can make corrections in their application by paying โ‚น50 per correction, up to 28.10.2026.

Please note that once the fee is paid, it is non-refundable. However, if the Commission cancels the advertisement, the fee will be refunded online to the candidateโ€™s account.

Age Limits

  • The age will be calculated as on 01 January 2027. Only the date of birth mentioned in the 10th (High School) marksheet will be considered valid. Candidates must ensure that their name, fatherโ€™s name, and date of birth in the online application exactly match the details mentioned in their High School marksheet.
  • Age Relaxation:
  • SC/ST/OBC/Divyangjan/Government Employees/Nagar Sainik/Women (Unreserved/Reserved): 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit as per MP Government rules.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Age will be reduced by the length of defence service, provided the resulting age does not exceed the upper age limit by more than 3 years.
  • Intercaste married couples (Scheduled Casteโ€“Savarna) under the promotion scheme: 5 years relaxation.
  • Vikram Puraskar awardee sportspersons: 5 years relaxation.
  • However, under no circumstances should the maximum age exceed 45 years after applying all applicable relaxations.

Mode Of Selection 
Written Examination (OMR Based):
The written exam will be conducted in an objective format using an OMR sheet. Negative marking will be applicable for incorrect answers. The เคชเคฐเฅ€เค•เฅเคทเคพ will be held at centres including Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Gwalior. The detailed exam pattern and syllabus will be released later on the official website of the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission.
Based on the marks obtained in the written exam, candidates up to three times the number of vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted for the interview stage.
Interview (Viva Voce):
Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be invited for the interview. The interview will carry a total of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 41 for Unreserved category candidates and 31 for Reserved categories and Divyangjan candidates.
The final selection will be made based on the combined merit of written exam and interview marks. Candidates who do not appear for the interview will not be considered for selection.
Special Case (Less than 500 Applicants):
If the total number of applicants is below 500, the selection will be based only on the interview. Candidates will be shortlisted directly for the interview as per the following ratio:
1 post: up to 12 candidates
2โ€“3 posts: up to 24 candidates
4โ€“6 posts: up to 36 candidates
7โ€“9 posts: up to 48 candidates
10 or more posts: up to 50 candidates or 5 times the number of vacancies
Post Answer Key Process:
After the examination, a provisional answer key will be published on the Commissionโ€™s website. Candidates can raise objections within 5 days by paying โ‚น150 per question along with a โ‚น40 portal charge. After review by an expert committee, the final answer key will be released. No objections will be accepted once the final answer key is published.
General Information
All rules, amendments, and instructions issued by the Government from time to time regarding age, domicile, employment exchange registration, reservation, etc., will be considered while preparing the final selection result.
The syllabus is provided in Part โ€œHโ€ of the notification and will also be available on the official website of the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. Cut-off marks for both the written examination and interview will not be disclosed before the final result is declared.
In case any clerical or technical error is identified after the result declaration, the Commission reserves the right to make necessary corrections.
Reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC) and age relaxation are applicable only to candidates who are domiciles of Madhya Pradesh. Applicants from other states will be treated as Unreserved candidates. If suitable female candidates are not available in a reserved category, the vacancies may be filled by male candidates of the same category.
Divyangjan (PwD) candidates must submit a valid and latest disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board as per government guidelines. Certificates issued after 01.06.2021 must be generated through the official UDID portal. Manual certificates issued after this date will not be accepted. A minimum of 40% permanent disability is required to avail reservation benefits.
Candidates currently employed in government services (including temporary, contractual, daily wage, or PSU roles) must submit an undertaking confirming that they have informed their respective Head of Department or office about applying for this post.
All updates related to this recruitment, including results, will be published only on the official MPPSC website. The Commission will not send individual communications via email, post, or phone.
Candidates applying under the EWS category must possess a valid certificate for the financial year 2026โ€“27 by the last date of application (20.05.2026). OBC candidates must ensure they fall under the Non-Creamy Layer and submit the required declaration in the prescribed format.
The final result for OBC reservation will be subject to ongoing court cases (SLP 8764/2023 and WP 5596/2024). As per MP Government orders, the result will be released in two parts: Main (87%) and Provisional (13%).
As per Madhya Pradesh Civil Services Rules, 1961, candidates convicted of crimes against women or those having more than two living children (if one was born on or after 26 January 2001) will be disqualified from appointment.

How to Apply

Step 1: Application Fee

  • Applications must be submitted online through the official website of the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted. The online application window will remain open from 21 April 2026 to 20 May 2026.
  • Before filling out the application form, candidates should keep scanned copies of a recent passport-size colour photograph and their signature ready, as per the instructions given in the notification.
  • The application fee can be paid using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or in cash at authorized M.P. Online kiosks.
  • After filling in the form, a popup will display key details such as name, parentsโ€™ names, date of birth, category, and gender for verification. If any mistake is found, candidates can click โ€œCancelโ€ to edit the details; otherwise, they can click โ€œOKโ€ to submit. Once submitted, an application number will be generated, and the status will remain โ€œUnpaidโ€ until the fee is successfully paid.
  • Candidates must then click on โ€œProceed for Paymentโ€ to complete the fee transaction. After successful payment, the application status will show โ€œPayment Done.โ€ It is advised to take a printout of the application form and keep the application number เคธเฅเคฐเค•เฅเคทเคฟเคค for future reference.
  • Error Correction Facility:
  • Candidates can make corrections in their online application from 26 April 2026 to 22 May 2026 (till midnight) by paying โ‚น50 per correction. For applications submitted with a late fee, corrections will be allowed up to 28 October 2026 at the same charge.
  • However, details such as Category, Gender, and Date of Birth cannot be modified after the correction window closes.
  • Candidates must ensure that their signature is consistent across all documents, as any mismatch may lead to cancellation of candidature.
