Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess a full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with a minimum of 65% aggregate marks for UR/EWS/OBC (NCL) candidates and 55% aggregate marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- The percentage will be calculated based on the average of all semesters/years, irrespective of any semester-wise weightage followed by the institute or university.
- Final-year engineering students are also eligible to apply. However, their candidature will be considered only if they successfully complete the degree with the required percentage of marks on or before the date of the personal interview.
Recognized Institutions:
- All mandatory qualifications must be obtained from a UGC-recognized Indian University, UGC-recognized Deemed University, or AICTE-approved courses from autonomous institutions.

| NALCO will use GATE 2025 scores for the recruitment of Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs). Candidates must have qualified GATE 2025 in the relevant discipline. Only GATE-2025 scores will be considered for this recruitment. Based on GATE 2025 marks and organizational requirements, eligible candidates will be shortlisted for the Personal Interview. Shortlisting for interviews will be done discipline-wise and category-wise based on GATE 2025 qualifying marks, generally in the ratio of 1:10 (10 candidates for each vacancy). Final selection will be made considering the combined performance in GATE 2025 and the Personal Interview. | Indian nationals are eligible to apply. Reservation and age relaxations for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, PwBD (with 40% or more disability), and Ex-Servicemen will be applicable as per Government of India norms. Only PwBD candidates with a minimum of 40% specified disability will be entitled to reservation and concessions. OBC candidates belonging to the Creamy Layer are not eligible for OBC concessions and must apply under the UR category. OBC (NCL) candidates must submit a valid certificate issued by the competent authority during FY 2025–26 in the prescribed format. EWS candidates must produce a valid Income and Assets Certificate for FY 2025–26, issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format. Service Bond & Training Selected candidates, at the time of joining, must sign an apprenticeship contract and execute a service agreement bond of: ₹3,00,000 (for training in India), or ₹4,00,000 (for training abroad), on non-judicial stamp paper worth ₹1,500, committing to serve NALCO for a minimum of 4 years after successful completion of one year of training. As per company policy, selected candidates will undergo one year of on-the-job training. During training or after absorption, candidates may be posted at any NALCO unit or office in India or abroad.
